ART OPENING: Enjoy art, snacks, coffee, and learn about art therapy! Katie Hall of Open Sky Art Therapy & Counseling will be displaying a series that depicts her connection with the non-material world and includes images from a series on indigenous women from Mexico. The paintings are designed to process the universality of human emotions and spiritual experiences in the material world. Her drawings, paintings, and films are a meditation on being.

Art is about waking up. Every painting is an opportunity for me to uncover something and to find out what unfolds in the process. It is about discovering what is fresh and new and creating a new relationship with the past in the present moment.

Where: Java Joe’s on Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM
When: Friday, September 21, 4pm-6pm.
